Chinese - Basic Cantonese

The US Information Agency, the State Department, and the Office of Education worked together to develop this FSI (Foreign Services Institute) course in Cantonese, the principal language of 54 million people in southern China, Hong Kong, and Macau.

The course is in two volumes, each requiring about 200 hours of study time. It uses basic grammatical structures of the language and a vocabulary of approximately 950 words.
